Thanks for visiting the ARX America

Please look through it at your leisure and let us know if there is any other information you need. We are very aware that you have a wide range of competing pro audio products to choose from, and naturally we would like to do everything possible to help you choose ARX.

If we may, we'd like to point out a couple of things about ARX that you won't find in the technical specifications: By far the most popular comments from ARX first time users are "It's so easy to install and set up!" and "It sounds great!" and that's good, because we try and design things that way. To borrow a buzz phrase from the computer industry, the products are 'user-friendly'. We believe you shouldn't need a PhD to use any of our products, just a pair of ears and some commonsense.

Secondly, because here at the factory we're all pro audio users as well as designers, a lot of our products are unique. When we started ARX, we did so because we couldn't buy a lot of the products we wanted to use, products that we felt would make the job easier for the professional installer and the person at the console.

Our unique MaxiSPLIT and MaxiMIX have been installed in venues worldwide, including the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Other popular installation products include the versatile MIXX and MIXXmaster 1 RU mixers.

We believe our new EQ 260 is the best Graphic Equalizer that you can buy, and many thousands of people around the world agreed with us and bought its predecessor.

The DI-6s is a product that stands alone as true pro-audio problem solvers. Our Sixgate™ is unique in giving you not four, but six full function noise gates in one compact unit, and our BarMIX zoner/mixer provides a complete music management system in 1 RU!

If this is the first time you've heard of ARX, thanks for your interest. We hope this has given you some background on the basic concepts behind ARX products. If you'd like to know more, just let us know.

2003 marked a milestone for ARX Systems, the well known Australian based designers and manufacturers of Professional Audio Equipment, as they celebrate their 20th anniversary.

ARX Systems was formed in Melbourne in 1983 by brothers Colin and David Park, and longtime friend Duncan Fry.

Several products introduced in the 80's have over the years become Industry Standards and are still manufactured today, albeit in an updated form to take advantage of improved manufacturing processes and most importantly higher quality Components.

These include the Sixgate 6 channel Noise Gate, Quadcomp 4 channel Compressor Limiter; and the venerable EQ 60 Dual 1/3rd Octave Equalizer, sales of which have now exceeded 10,000 units.

"At a time when it appears a lot of Pro Audio Manufacturers will end up being owned by Stylus manufacturers, Car Audio Companies or their Chinese OEM suppliers; Duncan, David and I are pleased that we've built an independent Company that still holds to its core values of designing and manufacturing a comprehensive range of products that people like to use, are reliable and are supported in a Professional manner.

"An old mate of ours, Hans Freytag, describes Pro Audio as 'the world's largest Cottage Industry', which is a fairly accurate description, even these days. It's certainly a most enjoyable industry to work in, as the last 20 years have proved."
