In keeping with our policy of creating essential audio interfaces, ARX is excited to present the new USB I/O - a true Plug and Play USB digital/analog pro audio interface. It removes the need to use any existing sound card outputs, with their inherent noisy environment and problematic grounding.

The ARX USB I/O features full transformer balanced Inputs and Outputs, providing the isolation required to eliminate earth loops / ground hum and other extraneous interaction noise and distortion. It installs as a fully compatible generic USB audio device, requiring no special driver program installation on Mac OSX, Win XP and Vista. The front panel has Left and Right transformer balanced analog XLR Input and Output connectors that connect to any standard balanced analog inputs and outputs. On the rear panel there is a Type B USB connector, as well as a ground lift switch and a status LED that indicates the USB I/O is connected and operating. It is ideal for interfacing any USB equipped computer (especially notebook/laptop computers) with the balanced inputs and outputs of professional sound systems. Security features include Kensington®-type computer lock slot and optional bracket kit for under-table mounting. The ARX USB I/O is available in Dual Channel format, and is hand made in Australia.

The ISO-Combiner is a new transformer isolated combiner for the Audibox range of Pro Audio tools and problem solvers. It is ideal for use in applications where two sources have to be combined into one signal, silently and easily. A pair of transformer balanced female XLR inputs combine to deliver a single transformer isolated male XLR output in this essential audio package. Available in Single Channel or Double Header format. The simplest ideas are usually the best! The new ISO Switcher is a stereo Input signal switcher for the extremely popular Audibox range. A front panel push button switch silently switches between two pairs of A or B female XLR inputs to a stereo pair of XLR male output connectors. ARX ‘SoftSwitch’ technology achieves this with no loud noises through the audio system when switching. Typical applications include switching between Live Band or DJ when both are using the same speaker system.


A Dual channel Unbalanced to Balanced Low Impedance transformer isolated converter. The ISO Balancer will convert an Unbalanced RCA Low Impedance signal to a Balanced Low Impedance signal suitable for use with professional equipment and long cable runs. Transformer Ground isolation provides low-noise operation suitable for any application. Mounted in a heavy duty all steel chassis, and available in Dual Channel format only. Needs no power.


A Unique de-balancing unit, the De-Balancer will convert stereo XLR Balanced Low Impedance signals to Unbalanced RCA Low Impedance signals, to allow leads to run balanced from point A to point B and then be de-balanced for connecting to a high impedance/unbalanced input at the B end. This enables you to keep a balanced line all the way up to the input of an unbalanced unit, reducing hum, noise and interference pickup along the way. Transformer Ground isolation provides low-noise operation suitable for any application. Mounted in a heavy duty all steel chassis, and available in Dual Channel format only. Needs no power.


Stereo AudioVisual Active Direct box, with dual RCA or stereo mini jack input and dual XLR outputs. The AV DI is ideal for interfacing computer sound cards with pro sound systems. Heavy duty all-steel chassis, –20 dB Pad switch, plus Phantom or 12 - 15V DC power options. Permanent soft audio ground network prevents ground loops, providing pristine audio quality. Ideal for interfacing any consumer stereo audio signal (especially notebook computer sound cards) with the balanced inputs of professional sound systems. Available in Dual Channel format only. Ultra compact Headphone monitoring box, with Stereo jack and Mini jack inputs feed two channels of stereo headphone outputs. Heavy duty all-steel chassis, individual Level controls plus DC power connector. Channels 1 and 2 are AutoLinked into Channels 3 and 4 unless other inputs are jacked into 3 and 4. A compact, flexible unit. DC power can be supplied from a 12 Volt wall mounted DC power supply, or from the ARX Audibox PSU 15V DC power supply unit for maximum headroom. Compact Microphone Pre amp with XLR input, balanced jack output and +10 to +60dB Gain control. Heavy duty all-steel chassis, –20 dB Pad with status LED, Clip LED and Phantom Power switch with status LED, plus 12V DC power connector. 12-15V DC power required from external supply. Fully regulated 15 volt DC Power Supply unit, ideally suited to the Audibox system. 110/120 or 220/240 V AC input with IEC power connector, and four individual 15 V DC screw terminal outputs, mounted in a heavy duty all steel chassis, with front mounted power switch and internal AC fuse. Short circuit protected, with automatic reset.
